Illustration Review and The Principle: Balance
I have enjoyed my first workshops in Illustrator and Photoshop, they have encouraged me to share my interests in my designs. The Illustrator workshop has especially increased my understanding of how to create shapes/ drawings digitally.
Overall, these two weeks have broken the barrier I had with using these software's, although there are still a few basic procedures I need to go over like how to and why we use layers and how to use the pattern tool to my control. I also think I need to review the fundamentals of photoshop again, I have previously followed YouTube tutorials to learn them but I need to make note of this.
I liked how we created our own notes on the steps, this made sure we understood them and is also a good, clear source to go go back to, revise and follow. I will do this while I continue my learning with using Illustrator and Photoshop so that I have the ability to refine, enhance and create digital work.
I think my dog illustration is clear and I like how it has turned out. manoeuvre the lines more easily as
I wanted to learn how to trace an image to turn my artist responses into illustrations and the video I watched taught me how to manoeuvre the anchor points. Looking back I think the cloud is less obvious so I would alter this, I might also see how it looks as a pattern. With the dumpling I only need to calculate how many anchor points I need then I can easily move them with the keyboard shortcuts I have learned.
