'My Contemporary art practice'
Work this week update:
Review and idea:
After the zoom presentation looking at other artists' ways of working, I noticed how much I've gravitated towards artists' advice: learning how they do what they love and finding out how they've broken down the barrier of fear. I think it's something we've all felt: wanting something and not knowing how to overcome it.
I want to think about how can I put this idea into my work. How do I put this in context to what I have already explored and how can I show this visually?
:
From the Criterion Artists research I found re-occurring messages like: 'starting is hard', 'I don't re-work a piece', and 'people respond to a human touch'
- I think I can explore this all in my idea: giving people tasks/ find creative expression.
I'll start this by finding things to do and documenting the effect and 'not reworking it' to show the process.
Looking back to my siblings' responses to activities in Unit 2, I remember enjoying their reactions and spending time together. Documenting what I learn and putting together my findings, I hope to create something to show: realizing potential, or at least having fun trying.
Now that I have my idea, I have to start investigating!...
